Deze cactus heeft een instabiele ondergrond, waardoor het alle kanten op gaat. Als de hond de cactus in de juiste houding weet te manoeuvreren, komen er snoepjes of brokjes uit het kleine gaatje aan de bovenkant. Hierdoor is het ook te gebruiken als slowfeeder.
